Died in childbirth.
Extract from Obituary in Grenfell Record 24 Nov 1909, page 2:
We regret to announce the death of Mrs Graham, wife of Mr James Graham of "The Glen", Quandong, under sad and distressing circumstances associated with childbirth. She was taken ill on Saturday, when it was found necessary that an operation should immediately be performed, and this was done, but the patient sank and died soon after. The shock occasioned upon hearing of the finding of the dead body of her father (Mr Thomas Holten) which greatly affected the deceased, is supposed to have wrought mischief. Mrs Graham, a good wife and mother, leaves a husband and eight children, the youngest of which is about 2 years old. ...26,27,28,29
Funeral21 Nov 1909Grenfell, NSW; >
Extract from Obituary in Grenfell Record 24 Nov 1909:
... The funeral on Sunday was very largely attended. There were about sixty vehicles, and at the head of the procession marched brethren of the Loyal Grenfell Lodge. Numbers awaited arrival at the cemetery. The burial was in the Church of England portion of the ground, the grave being alongside that of the deceased's father. The Rev. H. M. Levick officiated, and at close of the service, gave an appropriate address, in which reference was made to the shock which so sudden a departure occasioned, especially to those called upon to bear so sad a bereavement, and of whom he spoke in sympathetic terms. After touching upon the exemplary life of the one around whose grave they stood, the rev gentleman dwelt on the lessons to be learned from a call so sudden and unexpected. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Messrs Thomson and McCallum.30

The 1892 entry could be an error, the 1899 entry appears to confirm that she was known as Mary. On her death in 1909, the NSW BDM Death Index entry shows Mary A, while her headstone in Grenfell Cemetery shows Bertha Mary.
