Biographyfr 1880 - 1933     Attended Kings School, Parramatta.
     Became a Surveyor having been apprenticed to his brother also a surveyor working at Wollongong. For five years organised surveying of Berry estate, southern New South Wales.
     Arrived in Western Australia 1896 and carried out land and mining surveying on Murchison and Eastern Goldfields.
     From 1897 surveyed Collie town site, discovered and developed coal seams.
     In 1898 he was living in Bunbury.
     From 1908 mapping and classifying land for Midland Railway Company
     Chairman of Griffin and Cardiff Coal mining companies.
     MLA and MLC first elected 28/4/1901 and retired 30/11/1933. His brrother Norman was also a Member of Parliament in Western Australia.
     Died at Briarsleigh, a convalescent home in Guildford. He had been suffering from a lingering illness.
     Buried in All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery , Upper Swan, Swan City, Western Australia, Australia.4
