It refers to the groom as 'a distant connection of the Harris family. He hails from Toowoomba, QLD, and is the third son of the late Captain Hamlyn Huntingdon Hamlyn-Harris, of Maryborough, QLD. The principal bridesmaids were Misses Nellie and Edna Harris (sisters of the bride) ... There were also two little bridesmaids (Jean Stacey and Kathleen Walker), nieces of the bride ... Mr A. N. Stacey (brother-in-law to the bride) ... [was] best man. ... [The couple] left by train, on the day of the wedding, to enjoy their honeymoon ... near Sydney. ...' Extract from Stacy 'HL Harris of Wermatong': Bertha was the sweetest little bride of 19 in the conventional wedding array. Nell and Edna were her maids, also Kathleen Walker and Jean Stacy (aged 4 and 3). When the newly-weds went to the vestry the two children calmly sat down on the sanctuary steps to rest! It refers to the groom as 'a distant connection of the Harris family. He hails from Toowoomba, QLD, and is the third son of the late Captain Hamlyn Huntingdon Hamlyn-Harris, of Maryborough, QLD. The principal bridesmaids were Misses Nellie and Edna Harris (sisters of the bride) ... There were also two little bridesmaids (Jean Stacey and Kathleen Walker), nieces of the bride ... Mr A. N. Stacey (brother-in-law to the bride) ... [was] best man. ... [The couple] left by train, on the day of the wedding, to enjoy their honeymoon ... near Sydney. ...' Extract from Stacy 'HL Harris of Wermatong': Bertha was the sweetest little bride of 19 in the conventional wedding array. Nell and Edna were her maids, also Kathleen Walker and Jean Stacy (aged 4 and 3). When the newly-weds went to the vestry the two children calmly sat down on the sanctuary steps to rest!
