     Coroner Mr John Taylor held an Inquest on Thu 14 Mar 1918. The deceased's body was found by his wife and young son about 1:30pm on 13 Mar 1918, lying face down near some haystacks at Wirega, the property on which he sharefarmed. He had left home about 11:00am that morning, and his wife and son had gone looking for him when he had not returned for his midday meal.
     Constable Ernest Rochford, of Grenfell Police, saw the body at about 4:00pm the same day. He found no marks of violence and no signs of a struggle, and he was perfectly satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances in connection with the death.
     Dr Frederic H. Wallace had examined the body and was of the opinion that death was due to natural causes, probably heart trouble. Deceased had gastric influenza some little time ago which was, no doubt, a contributing factor. He was satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
     The Coroner found that the deceased had died from natural causes.13

     Coroner Mr John Taylor held an Inquest on Thu 14 Mar 1918. The deceased's body was found by his wife and young son about 1:30pm on 13 Mar 1918, lying face down near some haystacks at Wirega, the property on which he sharefarmed. He had left home about 11:00am that morning, and his wife and son had gone looking for him when he had not returned for his midday meal.
     Constable Ernest Rochford, of Grenfell Police, saw the body at about 4:00pm the same day. He found no marks of violence and no signs of a struggle, and he was perfectly satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances in connection with the death.
     Dr Frederic H. Wallace had examined the body and was of the opinion that death was due to natural causes, probably heart trouble. Deceased had gastric influenza some little time ago which was, no doubt, a contributing factor. He was satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
     The Coroner found that the deceased had died from natural causes.6
