     HAMLYN-HARRIS--STEVENS - On 20 Dec 1911, at St Peter's Church, Southgate, Southport, by Rev. C. Hamlyn-Harris, assisted by Rev. E. Barstow, Cyril Hamlyn-Harris, youngest son of the late Captain Hamlyn Huntingdon Hamlyn-Harris, [18th Hussars, and Mrs Hamlyn-Harris, Maryborough,] to Maymie Ada, daughter of Hon. E. J. Stevens and Mrs Stevens, of Durrimba, Southport.

     An extensive report of the wedding and the subsequent reception and wedding breakfast at the bride's parents' home was published in the Queenslander 30 Dec 1911, page 15. The report included a list of invited guests and descriptions of the floral decorations in the church and at the reception, the dresses and bouquets of the bride and bridesmaids and many other female guests, the toasts at the reception, the breakfast catering and the bride's going-away outfit.4,5,6
