     The death occurred at the Corowa District Hospital on Friday of last week, after a short illness, of Mr. Nicholas Prendergast, aged 65, who had been a resident of Balldale for the past five years.
     Deceased was a native of Omeo (Vic.), and for a time was wheat farming in the Narrandera district. In recent years he and his sons were associated with contracts for the Irrigation and Water Commission. He was a widower, and is survived by four sons, Stanley (Adelaide), William (Henty), Ab.[sic] and Laurence (Balldale), and three daughters.
