     Born in Rutherglen, Victoria, Mae was a passionate teacher of English and History who taught at Canowindra in the Central West, and Moss Vale and Bowral on the Southern Highlands.
     Following teaching, Mae involved herself in the family's Moss Vale real estate business and then established a successful antiquarian bookshop, supplying books to local and overseas collectors and institutions for many years.
     She is survived by Pieter, her loving husband of 66 years, and her four children John, Simon, Greta and Pieter Jr.

     Mae, Pieter's wife of 66 years, passed away in June this year. Peter is survived by his children John, Simon, Pieter Jnr and Greta and his step sister Sonya Roper (nee Vanderschaar).

     CLEARY--HAMLYN-HARRIS St. James’s Church, Glebe, Sydney, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on 24 June, the contracting parties being John Egan Cleary, wireless officer of the Amalgamated Wireless Company; second son of Mr and Mrs John Cleary, Looranna, Kangaroo Hills, and Felicia Hamlyn-Harris, second daughter of the late Mr William Hamlyn-Harris, of Las Rosa, Tumut, NSW, and Mrs H. Higgins (nee Hamlyn-Harris), of Glebe, Sydney.
     The bride was given away by Mr Higgins, ....
     Miss Mary Hamlyn-Harris (sister of the bride) acted as bridesmaid, ....
     The bridegroom, who wore full dress uniform, was supported by his brother, Mr Denis Cleary, as best man. The Rev. Father O’Day was the officiating clergyman.
