     A pretty and interesting wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church, Tumut at 3 p.m. on the 14th inst. when Miss Muriel Hamblin [actually Hamlyn] Stacy and Mr. Gordon Andrews were joined in bonds of holy matrimony.
     The church was superbly decorated by Mesdames Broadfoot, Service and J. Oliver ... The flowers for the decoration of this beautiful church came from many Tumut gardens and from the lovely gardens of Mrs. Mackenzie, of "Robin Hill" and Mrs. T. Wilkinson.

MRS. EVA MECHAM
     The death occurred on Friday night last at her home at Benalla, Vic., of Mrs. Eva Mecham, wife of Mr. J. Mecham, and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Harris, of Wermatong, Tumut.
     Deceased, who had been in ill-health for a long period, passed away in her sleep. She married Mr. J. Mecham at Vancouver, USA [actually Victoria, BC, Canada], and resided for eight years in America where the latter was an engineer. They then came to Australia and, after some years in Melbourne, took up residence at Benalla.
     There was no family born to the union. Besides the sorrowing husband, brothers and sisters surviving are Messrs. Noel (Gilmore), Geoff (Tumut), Clem (Braidwood) Dr. Thomas (Launceston), Vern (Tumut), Florence (Mrs. F. Stacy, Tumut), Vida (Mrs. Nixon, Dunnedo), Nettie (Mrs. E. Walker, Parramatta), Nell (Mrs. H. Scott, Tumut), Miss Edna Harris (Eastwood) and Bertha (Mrs. Hamlyn-Harris, Brisbane).
     The late Mrs. Mecham was a wonderful sister and a devoted wife.

Mrs. Eva H. Mecham.
     Sincere sympathy is felt for Mr. John W. Mecham, of Charles Street, in the loss he sustained on Saturday last by the death of his wife, Mrs. Eva Hamlyn Mecham, which took place at her home. The late Mrs. Mecham was a daughter of the late Hamlyn and Emily Harris, and was born at Tumut, N.S.W. She was married at Pretoria, British Columbia, at the age of 36 [actually 37] years to Mr. Mecham, who survives her, there being no family. The late Mrs. Mecham possessed a quiet and kind disposition which won her many friends, who will regret her passing. ...8,9,10
