     Inquest 1730 held 18-22 Dec 1924 in Cowra by PG Westphalen, JP, Coroner. Verdict 23 Dec 1924: Injuries accidentally received through a telephone pole falling with him.
Deceased: Age 33 [actually 31]; Born Grenfell; Cash or property owned Not known; Medical attendant Dr LW Roberts, Post mortem not held.
The inquest papers have not survived.
     Extensive report in Grenfell Record 29 Dec 1924:
* Mr Parker appeared to watch the interests of the Postmaster-General's Department.
* Mr McGillivray represented the Telegraph Linesmen's Association.
* Arthur Edward Graham [deceased's younger brother] and Constable Dennison gave formal evidence.
* Harold Edward Mitchell, railway electrician, was with the deceased at the time of the accident and explained the circumstances of the deceased's fall.
* Dr Llewellyn W. Roberts attended the accident at Koorawatha, and decribed the deceased's injuries as "compound fracture of the jaw in 3 places and a fracture of the base of the skull". He said Tom was conveyed to Cowra District Hospital by train, and died at 8 am the next day without regaining consciousness, death being due to the injuries stated.
* Reginald Maxwell Coburn, a casual labourer employed by the Postmaster-General's Department, was with the deceased at the time of the accident and explained the circumstances of the fall.
* The Coroner found that deceased died from the effect of injuries accidentally received on 18 Dec [actually 17 Dec]. He added that apparently every precaution was taken.2,3
